Another award for Jolt – Activated Electrodes for Green Chemicals!

The fifth edition of the Barcelona New Economy Week (BNEW) was held last week. The Consorci de la Zona Franca de Barcelona (CZFB) judged companies recognizing the best emerging company in each of the verticals that make up the event: Digital Industry, Proptech, Mobility, Talent, Health and Sustainability.

Jolt won the Best Startup in Sustainability 2024 award.

The Mayor of Barcelona, Jaume Collboni, presided over the event, accompanied by the Government delegate in Catalonia, Carlos Prieto, the special delegate of the State in the Consorci de la Zona Franca de Barcelona, Pere Navarro, the delegate president of the Area of Economic Development and Tourism of the Diputació de Barcelona, Ana Maria Martínez and the general director of the CZFB, Blanca Sorigué.

Jolt Solutions was delighted to take part in this years Hydorgen Expo in Piacenza, Italy.

Global Sales Director, Wayne Thornhill, was joined by Alessio Di Giacomo & Cristina Perez Martinez at the event.

At the third edition of the Metropolitan Business Innovation Awards which was hosted at the Cornellà de Llobregat Auditorium, Jolt solutions took away the award in the sector of Sustainability & Decarbonisation.  Arturo Vilavella, COO for Jolt,  & Daniel Miniño Justel. Finance Director, were in attendance and accepted the award.

The Metropolitan Business Innovation Award is an initiative promoted by the Cornellà City Council, it has hosted the awarding ceremony of through the Procornellà Business Center, and by the Area Metropolitana de Barcelona (AMB) which wants to recognize and reward the most innovative companies in the metropolitan area of ​​Barcelona created between 2019 and 2023. The awards present €6,000 each to the four emerging companies (startups) chosen as the best companies in among a total of three finalist projects per category.

In addition to the cash price each winner was given a tree to plant on their premises.  Jolt planted this tree on Thursday July 4th 2024.

Yesterday was the H2UB Start-up Challenge Hub at Connecting Green Hydrogen, Madrid.

Global Sales Director, Wayne Thornhill, presented Jolt’s technology during the event.

The Advisory Board members were Belén Linares Corell from CEPSA, Sebastian Vetter from Equinor Ventures, Nevin Alija from Mulheres na Energia, Vuk Trifkovic from BCG X, and Achmed Junusov from H2UB.

We would like to congratulate Flore de Durfort of Atmen who was awarding the best start-up prize.
