IPCEI Hy2Tech: opportunities for European manufacturers

IPCEI Hy2Tech is one of the largest European funding instruments for hydrogen technologies. Approved in 2022, it covers the whole chain: production, storage, transport and end use.

What it funds

• Manufacturing of electrolysers and components (electrodes, membranes, BoP).
• Underground and pressure storage.
• Fuel cells for heavy-duty mobility.
• Low-carbon hydrogen production.

Who can access

The programme works by member state. Spain, Italy, Germany, France and the Netherlands are the main beneficiaries. Selected companies can receive up to 35% of the manufacturing investment via direct grants.
